Follow the steps below to install the OpenDoc documentation on your system:                                                                      

 Place all of the documentation installation images ( PROG*.*  and  CLAS*.* ),                                                      
as well as the documentation install facility ( DOCINST.EXE ) into a                                                                        
single directory (we recommend the directory  C:\ODBETA1 ). 
                                                                            
 Change to that directory (<kbd>cd C:\ODBETA1</kbd>).

 Run the documentation installation facility ( DOCINST.EXE ) to extract the                                                              
documentation install batch programs ( DOC1INST.EXE  and  DOC2INST.EXE ).
                                                         
 Run the documentation install batch programs ( DOC1INST  for the Apple OpenDoc Programmer's Guide,                                      
 DOC2INST  for the Apple OpenDoc Class Reference) 
                                                                                      
 Two subdirectories will be created beneath the  ODBETA1  directory,                                                                     
 ODB1PROG  for the Programmer's Guide and                                                                                                   
 ODB1CLRF  for the Class Reference.
                                                                                                         
These subdirectories contain the Apple DR4 PostScript documentation files.                                                                       
 You can reclaim some disk space by deleting the documentation install images                                                                 
(PROG*.EXE ,  CLAS*.EXE , and  DOCINST.EXE ) after completing the documentation installation.
